Custom Design
Studio owner Ruby Gertz has over 15 years of professional design experience and accepts commissions for creative projects based on availability and budget.
She has worked on projects that have appeared on SNL, at the New York City Toy Fair, on the red carpet of the Academy Awards, on the stages of The Met Opera, American Ballet Theater, various Off-Broadway productions, cruise lines, and at world-class theme parks around the world. She has also made costumes for music videos, drag performers, and puppets, as well as numerous items in her own wardrobe.

If you are interested in hiring Ruby for a custom project, you can reach out to her at ruby@slowfashion.academy, or book a 15-minute call to discuss your project and see if it might be a good fit!
The design process for custom garments and costumes typically involves development of a prototype and at least one in-person fitting. Most projects require 4-12 weeks of lead time, depending on complexity, and are priced based on materials, overhead, and labor.
