Hello! My name is Ruby. I am a professional fashion designer and patternmaker.
I have over a decade of experience freelancing across various facets of the fashion and costume industries, and have found my true calling in teaching others how to sew and achieve a flawless custom fit.
I offer a range of sewing and patternmaking workshops in my Philadelphia-based studio, and online courses are currently in the works!

I’ve been integrating this 3D patternmaking and sample simulation software into my own design work over the past 2 years. It has been a game-changer! I am excited to consolidate my knowledge and experience into an online course that will give both professionals and hobbyists a thorough baseline to use the program to test design concepts and build “virtual” toiles/muslins/samples!

Drape and draft a set of sloper or “basic block” patterns custom-fit to your body’s unique proportions in one weekend! Participants will complete a first draft of a bodice, sleeve, skirt, and pant using a unique, sculptural method that involves minimal body measurements.
